Whitelock Parkway Streetscape and Bike Trail

Elk Grove, California

Foothill Associates prepared the construction documents for the streetscape, bike path, and native oak and grassland planting design along Whitelock Parkway from Franklin High School to Bruceville Road. Nearly one mile in length, this bike path provides a safe route to adjacent schools, parks, and neighborhoods for bicyclists. The bike path is linked to other bike paths within the city’s network. The streetscape and median planting add shade and human dimension to this new major thoroughfare. The streetscape and open space served as an oak tree mitigation planting area for adjacent developers.
