White Rock Road Widening

Foothill Associates obtained regulatory permits in support of the White Rock Road widening project in El Dorado Hills, California. The project included widening 1.5 miles of exiting two-lane roadway from Latrobe Road to Valley View Parkway, replacing and extending two existing culverts, installing two new culverts, paving an existing dirt road to connect to Silva Valley Parkway, and relocating of an existing utility line. Foothill Associates obtained a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nationwide Permit as required by Section 404 of the Clean Water Act, Water Quality Certification pursuant to Section 401 of Clean Water Act Section, Streambed Alteration Notification pursuant to the California Department of Fish and Game Code Section 1600, and Section 7 Endangered Species Act consultation for California red-legged frog with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Biologists conducted pre-construction surveys for California horned lizard, Western pond turtle, nesting raptors, and special-status bat species, as well as a habitat assessment and survey for California red-legged frog.
