Tahoe City Fire Hall, Station 51

Tahoe City, California

Foothill Associates prepared a preliminary biological resources assessment and wetland delineation for the Tahoe City Fire Hall, Station 51 project site. Foothill Associates biologists conducted a field survey to identify dominant plant communities on the site, identify potentially sensitive vegetation communities, and evaluate the potential for the site to support special status plant and wildlife species. A preliminary biological resources assessment report was prepared that identified biological resources and potential biological constraints, such as wetlands, and provided recommendations for any further required studies or permitting that may be required before development. The wetland delineation used the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) 1987 three-parameter methodology along with Rapanos guidelines issued by the Corps and the Environmental Protection Agency to classify waters and make a jurisdictional determination.
