Sun Valley Oaks

Placer County, California

Foothill Associates prepared a Riparian Corridor Preserve Management Plan to provide for long-term management and maintenance of the riparian woodland corridor and 100-foot buffer associated with Sun Valley Oaks development. Sun Valley Oaks is a 96-acre residential development in Placer County with preservation of 17-acres of open space and riparian conservation along Dry Creek. Within the riparian open space is a Class 1 trail, equestrian trail, sewer easement, and storm drain outfall system.

Foothill Associates also prepared a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nationwide Permit as required by Section 404 of the Clean Water Act (CWA) and requested Section 7 consultation for vernal pool fairy shrimp and vernal pool tadpole shrimp with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to address Endangered Species Act issues. We also prepared Water Quality Certification pursuant to CWA Section 401 and a Streambed Alteration Agreement pursuant to the California Department of Fish and Wildlife Code Section 1600.
