Roseview Park

Antelope, California

Foothill Associates prepared the master plan and construction documents for the 6-acre Roseview Park for the Sunrise Recreation and Park District. The site contains a 2-acre olive grove incorporated into the picnic and play area, restroom building, shade structure, children’s play area, tot lot, parking lot, and is interplanted with new shade trees many of which serve as oak tree mitigation. Some of the additional park features include a multi-use turf area surrounded by shade trees, a Little League baseball field with backstop, a soccer field, walkways with entry arches, group and individual picnic areas, basketball court, and a landscaped berm buffer between the park and adjoining busy street. The park features were designed around many heritage oak and other native trees. Foothill Associates’ arborists helped design root venting systems for oaks growing adjacent to newly constructed parking lot.
