Foothill Associates managed permit applications, regulatory compliance documentation, and agency consultations for the 111-acre Placer Creek Corporate Center project in Rocklin, California. The project includes the development of commercial land uses and associated infrastructure, storm water detention/ retention facilities, and transportation corridors. Biologists prepared a Biological Assessment pursuant to Section 7 of the Federal Endangered Species Act for U.S. Army Corps of Engineers consultation for vernal pool fairy shrimp and vernal pool tadpole shrimp with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Botanists conducted a focused survey for federally listed Sacramento Orcutt grass and Slender Orcutt grass on the site. Biologists also conducted a wetland delineation. Foothill Associates initiated a pre-application meeting with resource agencies to expedite the permitting process; and prepared a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nationwide Permit as required by Section 404 of the Clean Water Act (CWA); Water Quality Certification pursuant to CWA Section 401; and a Streambed Alteration Agreement pursuant to the California Department of Fish and Game Code Section 1600.
