Loomis Marketplace

Loomis, California

Foothill Associates provided biological resource assessment, regulatory permitting, and landscape design services for the 60-acre Loomis Marketplace project site in the Town of Loomis, California. Our Landscape Architects are designing a preliminary landscape plan for the site. An opportunities and constraints analysis for the landscape improvements was prepared looking at LID, open space integration, and bike path connection to the large regional trail system. The design plans incorporate many existing oak trees into the design plans. Our conceptual plan incorporates Low Impact Development (LID) concepts such as above-ground drainage swales, below ground rainwater collection tanks, permeable concrete and asphalt, and detention wetlands to capture and treat stormwater runoff from roads.

LID concepts include swales, rainwater collection tanks, permeable surfaces, and detention wetlands to handle stormwater runoff.
