Grizzly Flats CSD Water System Improvement

Grizzly Flats, California

Foothill Associates conducted a biological assessment and wetland constraints analysis prior to infrastructure improvements to the Grizzly Flats Community Services District’s (CSD) water conveyance system. Improvements included replacement of several sections of a 6-inch water main, construction of water holding tanks, and lining of a raw water storage reservoir to increase the efficiency of  water service. The Grizzly Flats CSD reservoir is man-made and created entirely in upland areas. The water source is piped to the reservoir for the purposes of potable water supply storage. The reservoir and surrounding uplands may support habitat for sensitive species or state/ federally listed species. The biological evaluation assessed the potential presence of habitat for listed species and the jurisdictional status of the reservoir.
