Gray Lodge Wildlife Area Water Supply Project

Butte County, California

Foothill Associates provided biological and regulatory support for the design of a water supply project for the Biggs-West Gridley Water District to provide water to the Gray Lodge Wildlife Area as part of the Bureau of Reclamation’s Central Valley Project Improvement Act.  Biologists performed a review of existing biological documentation, conducted a delineation of waters of the U.S., consulted with the U.S. Army Corps on Engineers requesting a Clean Water Act Section 404 Exemption, and prepared a California Department of Fish and Game Code Section 1600 Streambed Alteration Agreement Notification in preparation of upgrading crossing and water delivery structures along the canal.
