Four Seasons Clubhouse

El Dorado Hills, California

Foothill Associates assisted with the landscape design and production of construction documents for this private athletic club in a gated community in El Dorado Hills. We designed the trellis structures and shade pavilions, paving patterns, and some of the walls on the grounds. The grounds are complete with a pool and spa; lighted tennis, bocce, horseshoe, and shuffleboard courts; walking paths; and a fountain at the building entry. Lush, sub-tropical plantings surround the pool and spa areas, and aromatic, drought tolerant plants dominate the majority of the grounds and rockery walls.

The design process included preparing conceptual plans for review, review meetings, preparation of preliminary plans and details, review of these documents, and the preparation of final improvement plans, details, specifications, and cost estimate. The irrigation system combines in-line drip emitters around the clubhouse building with rotors and traditional spray heads in large planting areas. The project uses recycled water for all irrigation.
