Dry Creek Trunk Sewer Bank Stabilization

Dry Creek Trunk Sewer Bank Stabilization, Roseville, California

This engineering project addressed creek bank erosion along Dry Creek that was threatening to expose sewer infrastructure at two locations. To prevent potential pipe failure and wastewater discharge and prevent further erosion, vegetated rock slope protection was placed along a portion of the bank. Based on a delineation of waters conducted at each site by Foothill and site-specific resource assessments, environmental documents and permits required included a CEQA Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration, Clean Water Act Section 404 Nationwide Permit, Clean Water Act Section 401 Water Quality Certification, and California Fish and Game Code Section 1600 Streambed Alteration Agreement. Foothill Associates also conducted worker environmental awareness program training for western pond turtle and central valley steelhead and conducted biological monitoring during construction.
