Foothill Associates’ GIS Division employs the latest GIS and Remote Sensing technology to produce base maps, land cover and land use maps, and sophisticated geospatial analysis. Our GIS staff provides a complete suite of technical services, from data collection to modeling, 3D simulation, and final project reporting.

Our state-of-the-art GIS capabilities allow us to initiate projects by obtaining a digital aerial photograph base map of any project site. We use the base map as a remote sensing tool to establish current site conditions and develop GIS database layers. The database layers overlay biological/wetland resources and project plans to identify any potential environmental issues. For large-scale projects, we combine satellite imagery with low-altitude photographs to produce a spatially accurate map for evaluation of projects at landscape level.
