Position Title: Senior Landscape Architect

Foothill Associates is accepting applications for a talented senior-level individual with a degree in landscape architecture and a minimum of eight years of experience in the profession. See instruction to apply below.

 

Qualifications: A degree in landscape architecture, a landscape architecture license, eight or more years of landscape architecture experience, MS Office, and current AutoCAD experience are required. The candidate should possess a working knowledge of California native and drought tolerant plants, irrigation design, and public space design requirements. The candidate must be proficient in preparing proposals, comfortable in leading competitive marketing efforts and interviews with local agencies and be familiar with the Sacramento area market. QSD/QSP certification or ISA Arborist certification is a plus. Experience in mitigation planning, ecological restoration, and/or park and recreation master planning are a plus. Knowledge of computer and hand rendering, AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, Adobe Creative Suite, 3D modeling tools, and natural sciences are also desirable.

 

Responsibilities: Job duties include planning and designing landscape spaces in urban, rural, and suburban settings; developing open space, mitigation, restoration, resource management, and recreation plans and documents; and performing public outreach and engagement. The work includes preparation, review, and management of conceptual plans, project graphics, construction documents (including details, cost estimates, and specifications), master plans, and public presentations. Work includes the active marketing and procurement of new projects aligned with the full range of services offered by the firm. The candidate will perform project management tasks, construction review, develop and manage schedules and budgets, and mentor junior staff. The successful candidate is self-directed, creative, personable, and detail oriented; possesses excellent communication, organization, graphic production, and writing skills; enjoys working collaboratively; and meets deadlines.

 

Salary Range:  $80,000 – $110,000

Position Title:  Environmental Planner/Regulatory Specialist

Foothill Associates is seeking an Environmental Planner/ Regulatory Specialist to join our Rocklin office. The successful candidate will be familiar with environmental regulations including NEPA, CEQA, FESA and CESA, as well as federal and state protected species, and discretionary permitting through ACOE, CDFW, and USFWS. Position requires the ability to rapidly and accurately comprehend project components and potential issues relevant to regulatory compliance and potential effects to natural resources and other environmental factors, to interact professionally with clients and technical staff, and to identify solutions to meet client needs. Successful candidates must be able to prepare technical sections of environmental documents, work in multi-resource groups, collaborate among internal team members and agency staff, and operate in an environment of tight schedules and limited budgets. Qualifications: Minimum requirements include a bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in wildlife biology, fisheries, ecology, natural resource planning, or related field. Experience with the northern California ecosystems is a must.

 

Responsibilities: Preparation of technical sections and reports and conducting resource impact analysis in support of CEQA/NEPA analyses, State and Federal regulatory permit applications, development of conceptual and final mitigation plans, mitigation feasibility studies, and business development support.

 

Salary Range:  $50,000 – $56,000

Position Title:  Senior Regulatory Specialist

Foothill Associates is seeking an experienced Senior Regulatory Specialist to join our multi-disciplinary team. The successful candidate will be highly familiar with environmental regulations and permits including Clean Water Act (404/401 permits), CDFW Streambed Alteration Notifications and Agreements, as well as having FESA and CESA experience. Position requires the ability to rapidly and accurately comprehend project issues and their potential effects on wetlands and other sensitive resources, to interact professionally with clients, regulatory and technical staff, and to identify creative solutions to meet client and regulatory requirements. Successful candidates must be able to work as part of multi-resource groups, review the work of and mentor junior staff, and operate in an environment of tight project deadlines.

 

Qualifications: Qualified candidates will have at least 10 years of experience in the environmental permitting and environmental consulting environment in Northern California, strong technical writing skills and critical thinking, as well as excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

 

Responsibilities: Preparation and review of environmental permit applications (404/401, 1602), project management, preparation of technical sections and reports, coordination and collaboration with State and Federal permitting agency managers, development of conceptual and final mitigation plans, preparation of mitigation feasibility studies, and business development support.

 

Salary Range:  $85,000 – $105,000
